Facebook Essentials (SM-FPE-01)

Course Description

Facebook is still the most popular social networking site out there, with over one billion registered users. And research shows that over 40% of Facebook users actually want to connect with businesses on Facebook.

But to reach this audience, businesses need to meet them on their turf; and creating a Facebook Page for a business or organization is the way to do that. A Facebook Business Page helps businesses reach and connect with their target audience within the Facebook platform.

Follow author, developer, and new media expert, Deltina Hay, as she walks you through the process of setting up and developing your Facebook Page in her typical no-nonsense teaching style.

Upon satisfactorily completing the Online Instructor Supported Facebook Certificate program, students should be able to:

Create a fully developed and optimized Facebook business page
Identify the settings, features, and options of the Facebook page platform
Update and optimize a Facebook page timeline
Customize Facebook page applications
Integrate a Facebook page with other social media platforms
Automate Facebook updates using HootSuite
