    This course teaches students a more in depth look at different health considerations women face at different stages of their lives and how to appropriately adapt exercise and wellness programs to meet their needs. Topics of interest include the “Female Athlete Triad”, pre and postpartum fitness, women with pelvic floor dysfunctions, osteoporosis, menopause, autoimmune disorders, and breast, ovary, and uterine cancers. Students will gain an understanding of how to design exercise programs for these special populations.

    Applying the principles of good nutrition start at Day 1, whether working with clients or designing a personal healthy eating program. This course teaches students the principles behind helping a client in any stage of their lifecycle to set and achieve weight goals while working in conjunction with a registered dietitian in a team approach. Discover how the right nutrition can help you feel young while growing older and what specific nutrients need to be increased in your diet as you age. Dispel the myths of fad diets as you learn how to personalize your own meal plan and those of your clients.

    Venous Anatomy is a micro course that provides an understanding of the venous anatomy, veins and skin surfaces on which phlebotomy can be performed. This course gives an overview of phlebotomy performance and the anatomy used by phlebotomist.

    Venipuncture Supplies is a micro course that provides an understanding of the supplies needed for venipuncture. This course gives an overview of the supplies and equipment used by phlebotomist including those used to comply with standard precautions.

    Universal Precautions is a micro course that provides an understanding of the universal precautions set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This course gives an overview of the universal precautions and infection prevention guidelines.

    This course provides an overview of the theoretical principles for common massage therapy systems and manual techniques. The course discusses the historical influences from a variety of cultures in order to best understand the massage therapy industry and profession today. In addition, the course overviews selected major cautions and contraindications for giving massage, as well as the effects and benefits of proper massage therapy treatments. The course prepares students with fundamental knowledge about sanitation, and creating an appropriate environment to perform massage therapy services with ethical and professional boundaries.

    This 44 hour course offers a well-organized study of the bones, joints, and muscles, illustrated with beautiful full-color photographs, precise anatomical drawings, and clear mechanical drawings, and exciting interactive animations that allow the student to fully engage a 3-dimensional analysis of each major joint and muscle.     This course teaches an educational systematic approach to teaching resistance/weight training movements. The practical application of anatomy, physiology, and body alignment is introduced to analyze weight training techniques, exercise equipment, and the risk/benefit analysis of a specific exercise chosen. Equipment modalities reviewed include stability balls, exercise bands, free weights, body weight, and commercial strength equipment.

    The Evolution of CPT and ICD is a course that provides an in depth look at the updates and changes to the medical coding systems, CPT and ICD. This course begins by giving a brief look at the history of these coding systems. The course then explores the specific changes to CPT and ICD coding implemented over the previous year. Finishing out the course is a breakdown of the current classification system's guidelines. With the interactive activities and quiz, this course will provide you with a detailed understanding of how the coding systems, CPT and ICD, have evolved and changed over the previous year.

    This 44 hour course provides instruction the focuses on the basic knowledge and skills of business and professional development, including writing resumes, goal setting, self-care, and job interview comportment. Students will also have the knowledge and tools for basic entrepreneurship, including marketing for massage therapy. Finally, the course emphasizes utmost professionalism and ethical behavior.

    Teamwork & Patient Service in Healthcare is a micro course that explores the understanding and practice of human relations, teamwork, and patient service skills. In this course, learners will discuss the importance of teamwork and the skills necessary to provide the best patient service. Learners will navigate through the training material before completing several short activities to test their retention of the information.
